The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) gives you the right to access recorded information held by public sector organisations. Anyone can request information – there are no restrictions on your age, nationality or where you live. Please note for schools, the standard time limit for responding is 20 school days, or 60 working days if this is shorter. Working day means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or public holidays and bank holidays; this may or may not be the same as the days you are open for business or staff are in work.
The Freedom of Information Act covers any recorded information that is held by a public authority; this includes printed documents, computer files, letters, emails, photographs, and sound or video recordings. There is no requirement to create new information to satisfy a request.
Below is information relating to admissions that has been requested and released and is therefore available in the public domain.
FOR SEPTEMBER 2024 INTAKE
For the 12.5 mile priority area, the last student offered scored in the range of 108-109 and were ‘of the standard’ in Creative Writing.
All students in Category 1 and one student in Category 2 secured a place at CCHS.
The highest scoring student scored in the range of 132-133 and were ‘of the standard’ in Creative Writing.
For outside the 12.5 mile priority area, the last student offered scored in the range of 113-114 and were ‘of the standard’ in Creative Writing
The highest scoring student scored in the range of 129-130 and were ‘of the standard’ in Creative Writing.
Please note that we do not advise of the actual score, it would be unfair to the child this relates to should this information be made available to the public.
CCHS received nine rejections since National Offer Day on 1st March 2024, and we have offered in line with our oversubscription criteria.
FOR SEPTEMBER 2023 INTAKE
The last student offered a place on the National Offer Day scored in the range of 107-108 for the 12.5 mile priority area and the range of 116-117 for outside the 12.5 mile priority area.
Between the period of March 2023 and September 2023; 10 places were rejected by applicants who lived in the 12.5 mile area and 8 places were rejected by applicants who lived outside 12.5 miles.
18 places were subsequently offered and accepted.
FOR SEPTEMBER 2022 INTAKE
The last student offered a place on the National Offer Day scored in the range of 104-105 for the 12.5 mile priority area and the range of 114-115 for outside the 12.5 mile priority area.
Between the period of March 2022 and September 2022; 6 places were rejected by applicants who lived in the 12.5 mile area and 10 places were rejected by applicants who lived outside 12.5 miles.
16 places were subsequently offered and accepted.
FOR SEPTEMBER 2021 INTAKE
The last student offered a place on the National Offer Day scored in the range of 106-107 for the 12.5 mile priority area and in the range of 115-116 for outside the 12.5 mile priority area.
Between the period of March 2021 and September 2021; 8 places were rejected by applicants who lived in the 12.5 mile area and 7 places were rejected by applicants who lived outside 12.5 miles.
15 places were subsequently offered and accepted.
FOR SEPTEMBER 2020 INTAKE
The last student offered a place on the National Offer Day scored in the range of 105-106 for the 12.5 mile priority area and in the range of 114-115 for outside the 12.5 mile priority area.
Between the period of March 2020 and September 2020; 8 places were rejected by applicants who lived in the 12.5 mile area and 8 places were rejected by applicants who lived outside 12.5 miles.
16 places were subsequently offered and accepted.
FOR SEPTEMBER 2019 INTAKE
The last student offered a place on the National Offer Day scored in the range of 105-106 for the 12.5 mile priority area and in the range of 119-120 for outside the 12.5 mile priority area.
Between the period of March 2019 and September 2019; 9 places were rejected by applicants who lived in the 12.5 mile area and 10 places were rejected by applicants who lived outside 12.5 miles.
19 places were subsequently offered and accepted.
